Welcome to a full day with focus on the development of the international and national tourism and travel industry. The aim is to raise knowledge and awareness of responsible travel, and to stimulate and inspire a sustainable development of tourism and travel, by showcasing succesful examples, inspiration, experience sharing, discussions and debating.
Introduction:
Frans Schartau Business Institute took the initiative to organise the first conference on tourism, travel and sustainable development in 2010.
The objective was to inspire by using successful examples from the tourism and travel industry. In January 2011, the second conference was held, with nearly 200 participants.
A number of recognized companies were invited to take part to enhance the concept. Not all responded, but now we are proud to present eleven active stakeholders, all with different approaches to sustainable development, but linked by a strong social corporate responsibility.
We have a shared responsibility to inspire and promote sustainable tourism. The conference will focus on creative and critical ways of thinking. Sustainable tourism presents great challenges, but even bigger opportunities.
